Many commercial food businesses commonly use fry pans in
daily cooking. Commercial fry pans are available in a variety of materials,
including carbon steel, cooper, cast iron and most commonly used; stainless
steel and aluminum. Aluminum is often chosen for even heat distribution, while
stainless may be preferred for its durability. Take a look at our chart (below)
of things worth noting; be aware of these as you research the features of the
fry pans you are investing in.
Stainless Steel Meets Aluminum
Many of the ‘ negatives’ listed have been eliminated over
the years with improvements, such as aluminum pans constructed of extra dent
resistant materials and equipped with cool handles. These improvements surely
make a difference. The professionals have taken this to the next level- they
combined the two. Manufacturers are building cookware that have both materials.
When stainless is combined with aluminum, it adds the durability and the
non-reaction to food it may be lacking.
A fry pan is created that conducts heat faster and evenly. Scorching and
hot spots are eliminated. The best of both are realized as a result.
