3 Things to Consider When Shopping for an Immersion Blender

immersion blender

An immersion blender isn’t as expensive as a traditional
mixer or food processor, however you still want to make sure you’re making a good
investment for your business.

Here are a few things to think about if you’re in the market
for a new immersion blender.

1. Where will you be using it relative to a power source?

Immersion blenders are great because they pack a lot of
power and versatility into a small machine. So where you use them is
flexible, but remember, that you still do need power.

If you don’t need a heavy duty immersion blender, a cordless model from Waring might work. It has a rechargeable battery pack for the
utmost in flexibility.

If you need a stronger machine, or plan to use it too often
for a battery pack to make sense, it is easy to select one with a cord. Globe’s new line of immersion blenders have cords that reach up to 7-1/2 feet so you still
have some flexibility, even with the power source.

2. How much power do you need?

By choosing an immersion blender with variable speeds, it should give you the majority of the flexibility you need to cover your usage.

However, do pay attention to the wattage/horsepower and make
sure that the one you choose gives you enough power and rotations per minute
(RPM) to get your desired results.

3. Do you need attachments?

Globe’s whisk attachment lets your immersion blender double as a regular mixer. Check out the funnel cake demo below, which shows how the variable speed of the immersion blender plus a whisk attachment makes it possible.

Many models also have additional stick attachments in
various lengths that you can interchange on the base. This is ideal if
you need to blend items in different containers, or use your machine for a lot
of different recipes in quick succession. You can see examples of this in Globe’s new line. There’s also a wall mount available.
