AFTER 80 YEARS, A NEW SPACE

Zorn’s of Bethpage

When an iconic food establishment in New York moved into a new space, Globe was there to help.

We helped figure out how to do the same volume of food prep and service in a smaller workspace, with the addition of a new seating area and an improved retail space.  From walk-ins to display refrigerators to cook tops, we made sure that investments in new equipment fit their time-tested processes and created new opportunities for growth.

We managed procurement, delivery, and install so that the Zorn’s team could focus completing the new space in time to celebrate their 80th anniversary!

Retail and Catering

Our customer (Aux Delices in Stamford, CT) needed to consolidate food production for 4 retail locations and a catering operation. We helped them do just that: by creating one central production facility with 6 walk-in cooler/freezers, a production kitchen, and a bakery.

High School Cafeteria

Our local high school's food service director (Central High School in Bridgeport, CT) needed to update an aging facility with a new look. The existing equipment no longer produced or displayed the current menu items. We added a new cooking line and service counter.

Special Delivery

There are times when a simple delivery is not simple. Our customer needed a new refrigerator (the Quinnipiac Club in New Haven, CT). The building's configuration required a crane to place it on a 2nd floor patio roof. We got it done. From there, it was an "easy" delivery.

Fryer Selection for an Important Recipe

Lenny's Indian Head Inn in Branford, CT is well-known locally for seafood. Their menu includes fried fish with a delicious batter. While their customers love the batter, their fryer did not. It prevented their fry filter systems from performing properly. Globe worked with Pitco to arrange for a demo of a new fryer we thought would solve that problem. It arrived on a trailer with electrical and propane utilities, and the Lenny's team was able to successfully test the unit prior to purchase.

Oven Selection for a Special Bakery

A bakery North Haven with a special mission of employing adults with special needs was deciding between a convection oven and a combi oven. After learning about their recipes, we determined that the less expensive oven would meet their baseline needs. However, the combi had a stronger set of visual cues and controls that could make it easier for employees to operate the oven. Globe brought the manufacturer in for a free demo. Almost immediately, the owners decided it was worth the additional investment. We procured, delivered, and installed the oven.

Start Up + Supply

The Brick Walk Tavern team in Fairfield, CT worked with a local consultant on design and planning for their upscale casual eatery and bar. We teamed up with the consultant for help in decision making, sourcing, and support on all the restaurant and bar's equipment and supply needs. The partnership produced a smooth opening and launch, and a great start to the restaurant's success in the area. Globe is providing ongoing supply services, as well.

KITCHENS IN PARADISE

The CuisinArt Family of Hotels (Anguilla)

We designed kitchens, sourced equipment, got it all on shipping containers, and met the containers for delivery to oversee install and setup for the Reef Hotel in Anguilla.

Unfortunately, Hurricane Irma destroyed the Reef’s sister hotel in 2017.  We were called back to design and source equipment and supplies for a beach bar, the beach bar’s kitchen, a poolside and outdoor dining terrace, a lobby bar, and a banquet kitchen for that facility.

This success led us to additional projects in Tortola and Colorado (working alongside team members from the Anguilla hotels).
