If I am not a commercial user, can I still buy from you?

YES! Although our site is geared toward the commercial foodservice industry, many of our smallwares and light equipment will exceed your expectations when used in a residential setting. Larger equipment can be sold to a residence, though there may be some features unavailable for home use.  Warranty coverage may also be affected by residential use.

How do I set up an account with Globe Equipment?

You can set up an account by clicking the Login link at the top or bottom of any page on the site.  Additionally, when you are in the checkout and ready to enter your shipping information, there is an option to create an account at that point.

Does free shipping apply to heavy and oversized items?

Yes! Globe Equipment will not charge freight for ANY order marked FREE SHIPPING regardless of the size or weight of the product if being shipped within the continental United States.  Large items are shipped via common carrier. For items being shipped outside of the contiguous 48 states or internationally, you can contact Globe Equipment to get shipping rates.  If you need a lift gate to get the item off the truck, that is not included in the free shipping and will be an additional charge.

I placed an order for the wrong item, can I return it?

Yes. All returns require a Return Authorization number and are subject to inspection upon return. Some items will have up to a 25% restocking fee. Items that are special ordered or customized can not be returned. For more details please see our return policy page.

Do you accept PO's or allow customers to purchase on credit?

Unfortunately, Globe Equipment can not extend credit to their customers. Some exceptions may be made for government agencies or institutions. If you think that you might qualify, please contact help@globeequipment.com.

Can you ship an item COD?

Unfortunately, Globe Equipment cannot ship items COD.

Do you accept checks as a method of payment?

Yes. We just ask that you call one of our customer representatives or contact us to place the order. Items will be shipped after the check has cleared.

Can I get an inside delivery?

For deliveries local to Connecticut, contact us to set up a delivery that meets all your needs.  Nationally, inside delivery is an option; there is an additional charge that the freight companies charge for this service.  We just ask that you call one of our customer representatives or contact us to place the order.

In the event that my item breaks, how do you handle warranties?

All items sold by Globe Equipment come with the manufacturer's warranty. All warranty issues are handled directly with the manufacturer and their service agencies.

Do you charge sales tax?

Globe Equipment charges sales tax in CT, NY, and NJ.

Is there an extra charge for freight on backorders?

No. Once you receive the final checkout price, no additional freight costs will be charged.

Do you offer leasing options on equipment?

Globe Equipment does not offer leasing online.  We do offer financing options, though.

Where will Globe Equipment ship to?

Globe Equipment will ship to anywhere in the United States. For orders shipped to Alaska or Hawaii, additional shipping charges will be applied. International delivery can also be arranged.  Please contact us for pricing.  Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver to PO and APO/FPO boxes.

What shipping methods do you use?

Globe Equipment will ship via UPS, FedEx, USPS and multiple common carriers.  Get more information here.

Where is the shipping origin?

Most items ship from our warehouse in Bridgeport, CT. Some items may be shipped directly to you from the manufacturer’s factories. If this is the case, the shipping origin could be located anywhere across the United States.  We may ship items in the same order from different locations to speed delivery times.

After I place an order, how fast do you ship?

It is our goal at Globe Equipment to ship all orders received by noon of the day the order is placed. Depending on the items and inventory levels, and where the items are going, Globe Equipment will sometimes ship items directly from the factory.

Do you sell used equipment?

No, Globe Equipment Company only sells new equipment.

Can I buy quantities other than those shown on your site?

For items that are stocked in our Connecticut warehouse, we will break cases, and those are represented by the lowest unit of measure on the website. For items that are special order, or shipped directly from the factory, we are unable to break cases.  If you want quotes on items in bulk or large quantities, contact us.

Where is Globe Equipment located?

Globe Equipment Company is located in Bridgeport, Connecticut. We have a showroom that is open to the public and we welcome walk-in shoppers.

If I am buying my items as a gift, can you wrap them?

Unfortunately we do not wrap gifts.

How can I unsubscribe from your emails?

If you would like to unsubscribe from our email list, you can unsubscribe at the bottom of marketing emails, or email sales@globeequipment.com and include your email address in the body of the email.
